You MUST check out ubu.com which was found via carrotrevolution.blogspot.com which was found via hiddenjunk.blogspot.com (which I owe a hand written letter to). I will never have enough time to go through all of this, but you must check out the video/film section and the sound section. amazing stuff.
Find something there you like and post in in the comments.

nice! a nod on wife and man! thanks for the comments. we should talk soon...
Holy crap!
Between that, and the fact that Harpers has just digitized every single issue ever published, I am pretty much never standing up again...
Roger that Wifenmanner. Time wasting initialization in process. Engage bad posture and corn nuts!
Also-
I dig that they have some of the old Dial-a-Poem archives up.
I have certain sort of fake nostalgia (what is the name for nostalgia you have for things you never actually experienced, but miss nonetheless?) for things like Dial-a-Poem and , which I think were precursors to the internet, but died out when computers erased the discomfort of dialing a phone into the void and getting some stranger's voice in your ear. I guess they made it too easy to eavesdrop on someone else's ideas. Saying something out loud is far more painful than typing it, and I could blog 10x1^10000000 more secrets than I could ever say out loud- likewise, hearing someone tell you something- rather than reading it- is more cringe and empathy-inducing (whereas the internets is just the opposite- I think.)
A friend of mine says that outgoing answering machine messages were the homepages of the 70's and 80's
(though the concept of
"homepages" is no longer relevant either I guess).
From now on I am going to write all of my blogs in my friends' comments sections.
Uh, html is hard I guess...
That link was supposed to read "The Apology Line"
