That said, this may put our friendship on the rocks, but how did the pencil led get there in the first place? I didn't put it there, did I? ...
I was making a birthday card for my niece that was 2 at the time... I don't remember the exact details but I stabbed the meat of my right thumb with my pencil, and when I pulled it out, the lead stayed behind... needless to say, she never got a card from me that year.
Sometimes I consider digging into my hand to pull it out, but other times I think it will make a show & tell for her when she's older.
