the end is sucking

I'm kind of frustrated with this semester.  I'm taking two classes this semester and then I'll only have 1 class left, so it sort of feels like the end and the classes aren't living up to what I would want the end to be.  The postmodern film theory class has really just become a film theory class with a large focus on Lacan.  The teacher makes lame jokes and repeats them... and he likes the lamest movies.  His favorite film last year was The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and he hated Slumdog Millionaire.  To me that reads as someone who is much more interested in modernity than postmodernity... at least someone more interested in themselves that things greater than them.

My experimental media making class is very interesting and I'm having a lot of fun with the work but the teacher is a nervous fellow and he's been in the hospital.  This will be the 3rd week in a row he's missing.  Of course I hope he's okay.  It's just adding to my disjointedness.

Hey... I just got a TON of Daniel Johnston music and am working my way through it... yes, I'm late on the bandwagon.  I actually experienced Daniel as a visual artist first... anyway, does anybody have a favorite album?  I'm working my way chronologically at the moment.

I shaved the entire beard off last night on a dare from the wife.

Do you have a beard tan line now? It is almost warm weather time anyway. You needed to get rid of it before it got too hot!
