I recently started my first job working for a movie studio. They shall remain nameless, but it's one you have heard of, which to be quite honest, is really cool. The job found it's way to me because of my job as Resident you-know-what Coach at my other nameless employ. A producer got in touch and needed some American Accent goodness for a gal who sounds decidedly not so. It's been interesting, even if only from a business perspective, talking and negotiating with the producer, dealing with the money folk, dealing with my actress. It's certainly not going to make me a millionaire but it's fun and hopefully it will lead to more. Recently, I worked out an arrangement with a pal of mine to use his studio space in the city for my clientele, it's going gangbusters. I don't have to worry if the dishes are done like at my place and I can charge more. Nice. Also, I really enjoy working one on one so hopefully this will boost that aspect of my career.
