We went to the Sufjan Stevens show on Saturday night. It was really great. We're old fogies now so those shows in theaters where you sit are prefect for us.
His opener My Brightest Diamond was really good too.
I have to have a costume for Halloween time... In Sufjan glory, I'm considering dressing up as a State. What state would you like to see me be? I'm considering my birth state of Tennessee, but I'm open to suggestions... happy to try something different.

If you dressed up like Michigan, you would have to rig up a hat with a wire and to hold the upper peninsula aloft. That would be cool.
Just climb inside an old refrigerator box and recline all day. (You would sort of look like Wyoming or Colorado.)

Have you noticed people from Michigan always hold up their hand and point to it when they tell you what part they're from? That makes me laugh. I was asking my friend Lisa what part of Michigan she was from this past weekend and up went the hand. When people ask me where in Tennessee I'm from I'm going to point to a random freckle on my face and say Knoxville.
Tennessee would be such a fun state to be. Or you could be North Dakota (or whichever Dakota has Mt. Rushmore) and be the fourth head.
Or not.
