sooprgrll Friend Biography #1:Kat

i used to live in bed-stuy, brooklyn, in a three bedroom apartment with two of my college friends. one of them was kat. we had become fast friends over my last year of school. we would walk home from class and have dinner at this horrible dorm. she would have bowls and bowls of cereal. she was awesome. she worked at a sex shop for a while and i would ask her all about all the different dildos. i visited her while she was working and looked at the "edible underwear" which is really panty shaped fruit roll ups. she was very petite and pale, constantly changing her hair color, always wearing a black leather jacket. she was canadian so she articulated her consonants really well and would say canucky things like "pah-sta" and talk smack about the american healthcare system. kat was an actress, but one of the triple threat kind, sing like a doll, dance the dickens and act to boot, plus she was adorable (canadians!). she spent lots of time in her room listening to all sorts of punk music. our rent was split by the square foot of our rooms. hers was the lowest. i don't thing she ever really had a bed. more like mattresses stacked on the ground. she was the type of person that didn't really use hangars, instead she would pile things up. the few times i walked in her room i had to carefully navigate the patches of ground to step on lest i be swallowed alive by siouxsie sioux shirts. sitting on our other roommates' boy smelling futon we watched stargate, widescreen, on his 13 inch tv. we couldn't believe someone else liked that movie as much as the other one. kat and i aren't friends anymore, we had a stupid falling out over money. i hear occasional rumblings about her every so often.
